BASE DE LOISIRS ORANGE-MONTISEL
At an altitude of 1,100 metres and ten minutes from La Roche-sur-Foron or Thorens-les-Glières, this former ski resort has been transformed into a summer leisure centre. To overcome the lack of recurring snowfall, the old ski lift propels bobsleigh enthusiasts to enjoy the 300-metre drop across the fir trees. For the whole family, there was also a Tubby - a real area dedicated to the pleasures of sliding with a conveyor belt lift -, an electric mini-kart, a mini-golf and an inflatable playground. It is pleasant to take a break in the middle of the greenery for a picnic or on the terrace of the bar Le Lysiana, in front of the leisure area, for a snack of pancakes or ice cream. You can enjoy a view of the Arve valley as far as Bas-Chablais and the mountain of Cou or Sous-Dine and La Roche Parnal where some marked trails lead, accessible to all, on foot and by mountain bike. Hikers will go to the mountain restaurant Le chalet de Balme an hour and a half walk away to enjoy Savoyard specialities, a natural site with a family atmosphere!
