FAVERGES CASTLE
This castle located between Annecy and Albertville dates from the 13th century.
Between Annecy and Albertville, on the old Roman road leading from Geneva to Turin, this castle has a long history! It dates from the 13th century; Henri IV stayed there in 1600, and its use evolved to accommodate silk workshops from 1810 to 1914. Restored, a part of the castle is classified as a historical monument since 1991. Nowadays, only the courtyard and the Butterflies and Insects Museum (visits from Monday to Saturday) are open to the public. A charming gîte allows you to live the life of a castle during your stay.
