RED MULLET CASCADE
Cascade du Rouget with a jump of nearly 70 m at Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval with a pot dug in the rock at its upper level.
It is undoubtedly the most beautiful waterfall in the French Alps! With a jump of nearly 70 meters, it deserves its nickname of "Queen of the Alps". Especially since it can be reached by car without any difficulty in summer. A tip to access the best of the site: instead of parking in front of the waterfall, immediately after the bridge, pass the Auberge de la Cascade and the hairpin bend on the heights. From there, you can access the upper level of the waterfall from where you can admire the pot dug in the rock, invisible from the road. A grandiose site.

Très beau avec son torrent, parking juste à côté.
Très bien indiqué.
The road that passes right at the foot of the waterfall is for me negative point of this place that could be extraordinary.
