MUSEUM OF RESISTANCE AND DEPORTATION
A museum with guided tours and documentary screenings, retracing the history of the Thônes memorial.
The Morette site became the cemetery of Savoyard resistance fighters in the Second World War, a Nécropole Nationale, following the tragic and heroic events that took place on the Plateau des Glières in March 1944. Just a stone's throw away, the mountain chalets of the Mémoire du Maquis are home to the Musée Départemental de la Résistance, where guided tours and documentary films are organized, and the Mémorial de la Déportation, which retraces the history of the Resistance.
