LE BATEAU IVRE
Yvoire offers a wide variety of seasonal restaurants and Le Bateau Ivre has the merit of being open all year round for regular guests or walkers. Well located in the central street and near the entrance to Cité Médiévale "Porte de Nernier", it offers a beautiful terrace in summer. Laurent Lavanchy, the owner is passionate about cooking and his good mood is communicative. And you must admit it, the "captain" holds the course to satisfy the guests and offer them interesting suggestions. The restaurant sails between local cuisine, local fishermen's products (according to arrival) and all of this in a relaxed but not overrated atmosphere. Here, you can taste a modern cuisine with local flavors, such as the lake perch menu, the fera and the Savoyard specialties (berthoud, tartiflette, raclette) copiously served for winter outings. All the desserts are homemade, so dare the sin of gluttony with the creamy crême brûlée with milk jam… a delight! You will have understood it, here you are not "taken for a ride" and you are rather taken for a gourmet cruise during a meal in a contemporary Savoyard bistro universe with a very nice atmosphere.

j'ai pu manger une fondue pour UNE personne, un vin agréable....
++++ une ambiance musicale sympathique... mais pas trop bruyante !
une magnifique soirée... même si j'étais tout seul...
if that was not enough, added to the list, chips (a classic inratable) are farinaceous and soft.
management aggressive and not open to critics.
