Unusual restaurant offering gourmet regional cuisine.

You know you'll have a lot to apologize for when you leave A Confesse. That's the paradox of this truly atypical place, which uses a few religious elements - notably the doors of a confessional - to make us succumb to the irresistible temptation of the finest processed cheeses. A veritable local institution that has been established in the Saint-Laurent district for almost 50 years, where all generations come in procession to feast on the sins offered by Sister Raclette and other devilish fondues. Twenty fondue recipes to share for 2 people or more, plus sweet fondues, mainly chocolate, for dipping.

Petit resto dans une petite rue derrière le quai Saint Laurent, qu'on ne découvre pas facilement ou par hasard. Par contre, on sera impressionnés et immergés dans l'ambiance dès notre entrée, au passage par le confessional. A l'intérieur, un décor mystérieux mais accueillant, ainsi qu'une carte bien garnie. Les fondues et les galettes sont extraordinaires ! Le personnel est serviable mais un petit peu lent du l'importante affluence à ce resto le soir.

Changement de propriétaire donc remise au gout du jour de la decoration qui est moins "morbide". Grand choix de fondue, tres copieuse. Pain à volonté,salade verte en accompagnement et charcuterie en supplément.

J'étais déjà allé manger dans ce restaurant il y a quelques années avec mes amis et nous avions été vraiment déçu par la nourriture. Nous avons retenté hier soir et bonne surprise la fondue au reblochon était vraiment bonne! Service très agréable et rapide, je recommande!

Fondues are good, not the best, the service and the setting is nice although the wait is long. I was very disappointed pancakes on the other hand, uninteresting.
