LE JARDIN BIERGARTEN
A relaxed address with a lively terrace, serving beer and German-style cuisine.
What we love about this Jardin, located in a courtyard tucked away between downtown buildings, is that it has all the hallmarks of a German biergarten. With its long tables and benches set out on a shady terrace, its selection of beers (including German beers such as Paulaner from Bavaria) with 16 draught taps, and its cuisine ranging from street-food to traditional German-style fare, with spätzles and sauerkraut (and always a very inexpensive dish of the day), Jardin Biergarten takes us to the other side of the Rhine in the heart of Grenoble. If the conviviality and atmosphere rise in the evening, be careful not to turn up the volume too loudly, mindful of the neighbors. A Garden with a difference.
