SAINT-ANDRÉ COLLEGIATE CHURCH
A collegiate church steeped in history, founded in 1220, housing the remains of the fearless knight.
It is one of the oldest churches in Grenoble, located in front of the old Palace of the Parliament of Dauphiné. This church was founded in 1228 by the Dauphin Guigues André and is a former collegiate church, a private chapel of the House of the Dauphins. Several of them were buried here, but the tomb of the Dauphins was destroyed in 1562. It also contains the remains of Bayard, the knight without fear or reproach. A bronze statue of this great knight occupies the center of the Place Saint-André. The church, built in brick, is composed of a large nave.
