Open all year round. Exceptional closures on January 1, May 1 and December 25. Tuesday to Friday, 9.15am to 12.15pm and 1.30pm to 6pm; weekends, 2pm to 6pm. Closed January 1, May 1 and December 25. Free admission.

The Musée de Grenoble is Grenoble's natural history museum. Here you'll discover a rich natural heritage, particularly from the Alps. In fact, the museum houses fine collections of fossils, minerals and rocks. It also boasts an impressive Jardin des Plantes with three greenhouses, each with a different climate. You'll find a wide selection of plants, including rare species from all over the world, used for medicinal, cultural and culinary purposes... With over 600,000 zoological specimens, it's the perfect place for a family visit. What's more, it boasts a playground that's sure to delight children. A variety of activities are organized for young and old alike. Films and lectures are also on offer. The museum's auditorium is accessible to the mobility-impaired and hearing-impaired. An interesting address to visit!
