A museum with unique collections, spectacular scenography and an audio tour.
This museum, housed in the fortifications of the Bastille, reminds us that Grenoble was once a garrison town, and that the history of the Bastille site is linked to that of the mountain soldiers. A human epic that can only be described as heroic, retraced through a unique military heritage, a spectacular scenography and an audio-guided tour. Several historical themes right up to the mountain troops as they exist today. A visit not to be missed.

Informative tour elaborate cuisine.
You can spend an hour for a very reasonable price.
From there, to complete the visit why not walk to the monument to the troops of mountain on the peak just a few hundred metres from the Bastille
Confortablement installé dans les replis de la Bastille, ce Musée dédié aux Troupes de Montagne sera un régal pour les passionnés de l'Arme et un bon moment de découverte pour les autres.
Belle scénographie qui reprend les moments forts de l'évolution de la vie de l'Arme, insiste bien sur la spécificité Montagne mais sait aussi reconstituer avec brio les combats de 14-18 dans mes Vosges à travers une tranchée.
