LA POMME DE PIN
Address in L'Alpe-d'Huez offering a menu of generous dishes, raclettes, tartiflettes and fondues, and home-made desserts.
A Pomme de Pin that Alpe regulars know well. A Pomme de Pin set in a building on the Avenue des Jeux, whose interior decor contrasts with the modern look of the resort. Here, you'd think you were a century or two back in time, in an old barn with a rustic feel, where wood is omnipresent. The warmth of the decor, even in summer on the huge covered terrace, and the friendly atmosphere with a team that welcomes you with a broad smile. Suffice to say, you'll feel right at home in this Pomme de Pin! And you'll feel even better after discovering a menu that honors the specialties of our mountains, with a constant quest for quality. In this beautiful house, you start to enjoy yourself early in the morning, at 9am, with a "continental" or "English" breakfast. Christophe, in the kitchen, Maeva, in the dining room, and their whole team set the tone, serving the best of tradition. On the à la carte menu and on generous plates, raclettes, tartiflettes, fondues (with morels or porcini mushrooms), hot stones, gratins... And let's not forget the tasty seasonal dishes of the day: blanquette de veau à l'ancienne with basmati rice, or panaché de poisson sur un lit de semoule et son coulis de crustacé. Desserts, too, are homemade, like this delicious red fruit gratin with apricot coulis. A fine wine list prepared by Madame. Highly recommended by Le Futé.
