An in-house museum revealing the life of Berlioz, with an itinerary to discover all the talents of a musician and writer.

A musical genius and founder of the modern orchestra, Hector Berlioz lived in La Côte-Saint-André throughout his youth. In the house where he was born, surrounded by objects from his daily life, Berlioz welcomes you and guides you through his world. It's a fascinating tour that allows even the youngest visitors to discover all the facets of an extraordinary man, as well as the way of life in the 19th century. Auditorium, Berlioz festival, temporary exhibitions and events enrich the cultural offer all year round.

In the house inhabited by the artist and his family excellent reminder of Hector Berlioz. If you visit this museum (free access) a day of low crowds, you can largely listen to various pieces of music of the artist that are offered automatically without being disturbed.
