This Matheysin museum introduces visitors to the plateau's economic (mining, glove-making, clouter-making), social (Middle Ages, Revolution...) and human history. From this land of rural tradition, you can better understand how people have evolved in the face of changes in our society, particularly when the landscape changed in the 19th century with the arrival of the railroad, ushering in the industrial era of coal.
