CASTLE GARDENS OF THE TOUVET
Italian-style gardens mixed with French garden features, including a water staircase at Château du Touvet.
If the Château du Touvet is a marvel of architecture, its gardens return the favor! But visiting gardens is more than just marvelling at the work of man to shape nature. It is also about taking the time to stroll around in a sumptuous setting and play with the children (a fun course specially designed for them). Designed in 1750, the gardens of Château du Touvet are one of those fantastic and magical places that change with the rhythm of the seasons. Long terraces, small walled gardens surrounded by carefully pruned boxwood and yew trees, a magnificent rose garden, not to mention the omnipresence of water with basins and fountains. In fact, one of the wonders of these gardens is the Italian-style water staircase, unique in France. Free visit with map. Possibility to attend the water elevation manoeuvres by a gardener or a guide at 14h30, 15h45 and 17h.
