Instead of boarding a boat on the Rhone, take a ride on an authentic steam train from another century. You can relax and admire the scenery on the Chemin de Fer Touristique du Haut Rhône, which is made up of steam locomotives and carriages dating back to 1892 for the oldest ones, and take a 50-minute ride. Visit the depot of hundred-year-old trains. There is also a cyclo-draisines with rental of a machine for 4 people (reservation required).

Le chemin de fer touristique du Haut-Rhône à Montalieu-Vercieu propose l'activité "vélorail". Nous avons donc, avec deux de nos enfants, opté pour cette activité géniale. A bord de cyclo-draisines, nous partons pour une petite balade d'une heure à heure et demi tantot en sous-bois, tantot le long du Rhône. Nous y sommes allés un matin (il faut réserver !!). C'était le moment idéal : moins de monde, un air agréable, pas trop chaud. Une activité familiale sympa :)
L'accueil agrémenté de conseils simples est excellent.
