HANDYSOIE
Handysoie is a specialist in the manufacture of clothing accessories (scarves and ties) and textile articles for the home (towels, placemats, cushions). Its unique know-how, characteristic of the Lyon region, is recognised by the Entreprise du patrimoine vivant label.
History. Founded in 2011, Handysoie has established itself in Pont-Evêque (38), promoting excellence in textile craftsmanship. The know-how of hand carpooling - Italian or French - and handcrafting ties is a specificity of the historic Rhone-Alpine basin.
The Handysoie workshop trains each of its employees who carry out all the steps of the handcrafting of the tie, from cutting the fabric into panels to assembling it by hand with special folds depending on the models. It is the work of hand sewing that will allow the tie to withstand the ravages of time, ironing and laundry.
Each accessory is then subjected to quality control, ironing and folding specific to each customer, sometimes individually bagged and/or packaged globally.
Hélène Tricard-Dabbadie, the workshop's president, benefited from the support of the great luxury house, Hermès, to develop her business and get closer to other couturiers and designers.
The products. Ties, embroidery, household linen....
Employment. About thirty people with disabilities or undergoing retraining.
