The old Romanesque bell tower in Lombard style is the last vestige of the Romanesque period
Originally, a priory - the Saint-Pierre priory - depending on the abbey of Cluny and dating from the 11th century. The old Romanesque bell tower in Lombard style is the last vestige of the Romanesque period. The cloister was demolished in 1835 and only a part of it was preserved to install the town hall (now housed in new premises) and school. In 1864, the two side chapels were rebuilt. In 1899, a neo-Romanesque bell tower was installed on the façade. On the capital of a column of the old bell tower, two heads are sculpted, one of which sticks out its tongue.
