As part of a policy of recovery and protection of the natural heritage, the General council of Isère has classified the site of Montjoux "Sensitive Natural Space". The site consists of a water plan of 14 ha and its surroundings. It has a remarkable fauna and flora that it is important to preserve and make discover: Dasycarpum heron, butternut, pintail duck, crested grèbe, martin-fisherman, busard of reeds, rousserolle, hivers sarcelle, sylvie sylvie, fern of the marshes… A billboard present on the shore of the pond explains the approach of the General Council of Isère on the preservation of the natural heritage on this site.
