History: Hardrige, a hand-made shoe brand, draws strength and values from a centuries-old heritage based on the technical know-how of craftsmen. In the 1950 s, Les Chaussures du Dauphiné designs and manufactures in Sillans, a small village in the Isère, walking pins specially adapted to difficult conditions of use. In the early 1960 s, the company approached a technological shift and designed part of its manufacturing to the practice of skiing, officially equipping several French teams under the brand Le Trappeur. In 1985, Le Trappeur became Hardrige and specializes in the supply of technical and patented footwear for various bodies of the French army (helicopter pilots, infantrymen, air force officers, fighter aircraft pilots…). At the same time, the company develops a contemporary line of Goodyear or Norwegian hand shoes adapted to the city. In 2012, the founder's three children run the family business and perpetuate its values: authenticity, elegance of lines and quality of materials.
