WALK IN THE WOODS
You will be immersed in the woods and will discover a superb view of the lake of Paladru and the monastery of the Silve-Blessed during this 9 km trek and lasting 3 hours. From the cross of Meneisi, pass the houses south of the intersection and reach a fork. Take the path on the left. It runs through fields to Le Grand-Mondansin. About 300 m before the buildings, leave left, turn left, and then follow the road leading to Charpenne. Turn right into the Bois-du-Gay woods. The path continues in bois and arrives in the top of a coomb. Turn left and reach a crossroads. Follow the path of the GR 65 (chemin de Saint-Jacques) and win the monastery of the Blessed-Blessed. Leave the GR and take the path that goes back to the right. Obliquer in an acute corner on the left of the trail that rises in the wood and reaches, after a slope on the hillside, the cross of the Monk-Dead. At the crossroads, turn right towards Virieu. It rises, remains at level, leaves the wood and continues on the edge before descending between cultures.
