The Sarmentelles de Beaujeu is the great (and true) celebration of Beaujolais Nouveau. They take place during 5 festive days around the traditional tapping of the Beaujolais Nouveau at the twelfth stroke of midnight on the3rd Thursday (Wednesday night) of November. The Sarmentelles de Beaujeu also include in their program an award-winning tasting competition during which participants must recognize the vintages of the Beaujolais appellations. Artisans and farm producers will offer an exhibition of their handicrafts and tastings of local products, while the Compagnons du Beaujolais will proceed with new inductions.
