Because women and children are the first victims of insecurity, discrimination and violence, women are mobilizing for other women. Founded in 1921, Soroptismist is a world organisation of women engaged in social and professional life, which aims at: to support women in combating all forms of violence made to them, to help education and learning, to contribute to the causes of public health and to contribute to the security of resources and sustainable development. Carrying local actions, such as the development of the parents'waiting room at the Mother-Mother-child Hospital in Bron, or international, support for the association Désir of Haiti, the Soroptimist provide Hope and offer resources to those who do not. A Smart Association that regularly organizes actions on Lyon and its region to help those who need it.
