One of the most important Roman hydraulic achievements. Built in the 1st and 2nd centuries, the Roman Gier aqueduct supplied water to the ancient city of Lugdunum (Lyon). of the 92 arches that supported the canal in Roman times, 72 are still standing. Part of the tour takes place on a grassy surface with a gentle slope, and requires the help of an accompanying person to push a wheelchair. The slope is steep at the end of the tour.
