TOURETTE'S CONVENT
Convent with 20th century architecture, a unique place of life, prayer and meditation, hosting guided tours.
A place apart, a major work of art in 20th century architecture, but above all a unique place of life, prayer and meditation. Built from 1956 to 1959 by Le Corbusier, under the direction of the Dominican friars of Lyon, this convent is much more than a simple religious building. A building of rough concrete and glass on stilts, it is characterized by its austerity due to the simplicity of the materials used. It is possible to follow guided tours of the convent and one can stroll through the outdoor spaces for further meditative stops.
