DOMAINE CHAMPAGNON
A find that this independent field proves, once again, that you don't have to be big to be good! Created in 1952 and now run by Jean-Paul Champagnon and his wife, on more than 10 hectares, the estate, bordering the Moulin-à-Vent appellation, produces Beaujolais-Fleurie on a Gamay grape variety, thanks to vines over 65 years old! The work is faithful to the traditions of this beautiful corner of Beaujolais: few pesticides, manual harvesting, "old-fashioned" vinification and maturing for 6 to 10 months. The result is mainly two excellent vintages, "Les Moriers" and "La Roilette", well-structured, with aromas of red fruits. No surprise, then, when we discover the list of achievements of these small producers: gold, silver or bronze medals between Paris and Mâcon.
