THE CHAPEL OF SAINT-PIERRE

Chapel built in 1706, offering a beautiful view of the surrounding villages and the Alps with the Mont Blanc.
It was built in 1706, on the site of the former chapel of the castle which stood at the top of the hill of Saint-Pierre-de-Pizay and which was destroyed by fire: only a few ruins remain. After its abandonment, the chapel was restored in 1880; it contains a remarkable holy water font. Not so long ago, people used to come here on pilgrimage to protect their children from all the unfortunate events of life. From its platform, it offers a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding villages and the Alps with the Mont Blanc.
