CARMELO
Restaurant offering homemade food from good Italian products.
All the exuberance of Italy is on display at Carmelo. Admittedly, there's a touch of Cinecittà about it, with the hundreds - thousands? - of rooms adorning the walls, and the Italian-accented receptionist making a big deal of it, but isn't this perfectly assumed "too much" side ultimately charming? We'll let you be the judge. As for the food, it's a bit flatter... and that's a shame, especially for the so-called Neapolitan pizzas, which leave us wanting more. Antipasti with products direct from the Botte, fresh pasta with a truffled version that deserves to be tried. While you're waiting to post your Carmelo story on Insta, sip an espresso, not cheap, or a vermouth.
