Restaurant located in a discreet street in the heart of Lyon offering the best products of the region.
This up-and-coming address has moved from bistronomy to gastronomy. Because the bistro spirit lives on in this place where conviviality is natural, the "new" dining room - enlarged and remodeled last year - and the Michelin-starred cuisine of chef Nicolas Guiloton, accompanied by Thomas Belval-Sanna, clearly fall into this category. A surprise menu of 3 plates for lunch, and 6 for dinner, takes us on a voyage of discovery of the finest local produce, no more than 200 km from Lyon. A workshop that flies to the stars.

The staff could not find a booking and claimed it was lost in a “changeover of the booking system”. They said they were booked out and could not find a table.
Our party was myself and my male partner from Australia and our two guests were a young married Australian couple, of Asian heritage. Restaurants in France have from time to time been accused of discrimination. I hope this was not the case (we could see a table for four in the middle of the restaurant empty).
We were also unable to find any other tables in a couple of restaurants near our hotel and ended up having a drink and snacks at a bar.
A thoroughly disappointing experience on our last night in Lyon.
The restaurant also had the gall to send me a thank you email this morning - “We thank you for your visit and hope that you had an excellent time at the Augustins workshop.”
Disappointing. Book online at your peril.
