Restaurant with a beautiful and bright room in Lyon.

A majestic setting, the Grand Hôtel-Dieu, for a journey into the culinary universe of chef Matthieu Charrois, assisted by his teams who are as efficient in the dining room as they are in the kitchen. We particularly like the lunch menu, at an unbeatable price. On the à la carte menu, the chef takes us on gourmet escapades to reinterpret the classics of Lyonnais cuisine. The must-try K'nelle, Bresse poultry with yellow wine, served at the table, but not only, with an astonishing millefeuille of smoked eel, celery remoulade and granny smith. Exceptional food for everyone.

2ème visite dans ce restaurant, 2ème déception !
Point positif : Le cadre est magnifique.
Point négatif : Le restaurant n'est que la cantine de l'hôtel.

Excellent dans l'ensemble (repas de moyenne gamme). Deux petits bémols :
malgré le joli design des tables, une nappe aurait été la bienvenue.
et avec l'apéritif il manquait un amuse bouche..

le service m"est en danger votre restaurant, 3 demande pour avoir de l' eau du café ( servie 35 minutes plus tard) fromage sans couvert et sans pain encore 20 minutes ... BRAVO

Belle découverte !
Restaurant agréable et personnel accueillant.
Si je devais relever un seul petit bémol, ça serai notre table en plein dans le passage du personnel qui faisait comme il pouv pour ne pas nous déranger…

Again a great diner in family at Epona with the talented Chef Mathieu Charrois and his team. The gourmet menu a was perfect balance of various tastes. Special mention to the tenderness and spot on cooking of the beef filet. We will be back, again! (In the summer, the terrace/patio is also a great asset)
