There is not often a single SPA with a seat in Paris, but in fact hundreds of independent local associations (257 associations) which work in all regions of France to promote Animal protection. However, the National SPA of the French SPA, founded in 1926 and currently chaired by Natacha Harry, carries the colours of animal protection high and gives the small associations the means to make themselves heard. Beware, this SPA headquarters does not host animals. To adopt a dog or a cat, you will need to go to the spa shelters of Brignais or Marenne (see our box).
