CAVE CHARLEMAGNE
And say that some people complained, not so long ago, that the Confluence district did not attract convenience stores. It is undoubtedly changing and Confluence becomes a district to be visited, not just for its shopping and leisure centre. One of the last shops that particularly attracted our attention: Cave Charlemagne. First of all, because the area did not have a wine merchant (it is done) and that this cellar has the (very) good taste of not proposing only wine (excellent choice too) but also beers (many and carefully selected), rums, whiskies and other spirits. In front of the tram stop Sainte-Blandine, in a rather refined place but with the well-filled shelves, Cave Charlemagne offers good wines of the Rhône Valley (especially looking south, without forgetting Burgundy in the north, but also opening up to other horizons), while presenting more than 70 beers from here (Les Ursulines in Crémieu for example) and from elsewhere. Once again, the wine merchant, who is truly passionate, provides the best advice for making the best food and wines pairing and choosing the right bottle for all occasions. Animations, tastings, nothing is missing for our happiness.
