UNION LYONNAISE DES PÊCHEURS À LA LIGNE
Formerly in Lyon, well before 1900 already existed a fishing company under the old and charming name of "perfect fishermen of the city of Lyon". On 13 June 1903, the Lyon Union of Fishermen on the Line was born, joined in 1946 by the League of Friends of Fisheries, another Lyon association. Today, ULPL manages 296 km of rivers and water plans: Rhône, Saône, Jonage Canal, Miribel Canal, Grand Wide, Blue Waters of Miribel Jonage Park and four small first-class rivers, La, Rizan, Bletta, and Gretta. The vast majority of PARCOURS's courses are made up of open waters classified as second class, with a fishing population representing all known species. Despite an urbanized and industrialized environment, Lyon is the city of all fisheries. It is a whole aquatic world to fish in Lyon and near Lyon. Located near the quays of the Rhône, the AAPPMA of Lyon and its members are particularly committed to protecting fish heritage and aquatic environments. Among the actions undertaken: nursery, combating pollution or poaching, organisation of numerous events (contests, fishing schools, salons, etc.).
