Crédit Municipal is a public credit and welfare institution that has been present in Lyon since 1810. It offers a pawnbroking service, i.e. money against the deposit of one or more valuables, as well as more traditional banking services. What's more, it's not widely known that Crédit Municipal offers personal loans for senior citizens who are often turned down by traditional banks, and a Green Loan to finance projects that help protect the environment (insulation, clean cars, etc.). Auctions of items whose loan contracts have not been extended are also of interest (catalogs on the site).
