Founded in 1976, Lyon's Bibliothèque Sonore is a special place for literature lovers. With 75 volunteer voice-givers, this indispensable library for the visually impaired and blind contains almost 8,500 volumes recorded on MP3 CDs and SD cards. Among the audiobooks, all literary genres are represented, from classic novels and plays to philosophical works and books on tourism. When will we see a Petit Futé accessible to the visually impaired? Soon, we hope!
