Lyon, with its well-behaved image, is a city that loves humor. Established over 50 years ago in one of the most beautiful streets in the Renaissance district, l'Âne Rouge has forged a solid reputation in Lyon's cabaret scene, somewhere between theater and restaurant. In the shelter of its superb 16th-century cellar, it perpetuates a long tradition while keeping up with the times under the direction of Didier Bouchaud. Start at 8:30pm for a well-prepared dinner-show featuring the evening's comedian and a magician. A carefully-curated program that favors one-man shows, with some fine new discoveries. Laugh out loud as you wait for the dessert served at the end of the show. An authentic Lyon cabaret.
