ROMAN THEATRE OF FOURVIÈRE AND ODEON
Lugdunum's ancient theater backs onto the Fourvière hill, putting it close to the center of the Roman colony. The theater, also known as "le grand théâtre", is the oldest theater in Roman Gaul and one of the largest, with a capacity of 10,000 spectators. It hosted plays, mainly comedies, accompanied by dances. Both buildings were partially rebuilt in the 20th century, after having been transformed into quarries at the end of Antiquity. Today, the site of the Roman theaters hosts numerous events throughout the year, including concerts, festivals, workshops and guided tours.

Members' reviews on ROMAN THEATRE OF FOURVIÈRE AND ODEON
The ratings and reviews below reflect the subjective opinions of members and not the opinion of The Little Witty.
