Message from Management

A private art gallery, the Tomaselli Collection features works by Lyon artists dating from the 16th century to the present day. Founded by Jérôme Tomaselli, an entrepreneur and distinguished collector in Lyon for over twenty years, the collection now comprises more than 2,000 works: paintings, drawings and prints. Opening in November 2022, this 600 m2 venue in the heart of Vaise aims to help visitors discover or rediscover Lyon's rich artistic heritage.

Exhibition - Modernity in Lyon: 1900 - 1925

In partnership with the Brouill'Arts Lyonnais association, the Tomaselli Collection invites you to come and discover the exhibition "La Modernité à Lyon: 1900 - 1925", to be held from April 23 to September 7, 2024. The exhibition will cover the early 20th century, from the creation of the Salon des Artistes Lyonnais in 1901 (later renamed the Salon d'Automne) to the creation of the Salon du Sud-Est in 1925. This presentation focuses on the artists of the Ziniar group. The members of this group, self-confessed ignoramuses and claimants, refuted academic art to be resolutely modern. With no artistic manifesto in mind, they produced three albums of their engraved works. Active from 1920 to 1924, they brought with them numerous initiatives, such as the avant-garde magazines Promenoir (1921-1922) and Manomètre (1922-1928). This presentation of Lyon's modernities is also an opportunity to highlight other artistic typologies, such as the photographic medium, with works by Théodore Blanc and Antoine Demilly, as well as sculptures by Marcel Gimond and Georges Salendre. With works by Adrien Bas, Louis Bouquet, Georges Bouche, Eugène Brouillard, Émilie Charmy, Pierre Combet-Descombes, Venance Curnier, Émile Didier, Marcel Gimond, Jacques Laplace, Claude Leriche, Francisque Martin, Jacques Martin, Étienne Morillon, Philippe Pourchet, Charles Sénard, Louis Touchagues, Georges Albert Tresch and many others.

Jérôme Thomaseli nous fait découvrir de somptueuses peintures Lyonnaises du XVIè siècle à nos jours.
