JEAN COUTY MUSEUM
A museum exhibiting 150 works, including 120 paintings with sketches, drawings and other objects familiar to the artist.
Jean Couty (1907-1991) was a witness to his time, giving his vision of people, towns and landscapes as they changed, through a style of painting that captured reality far better than an image. A major painter who spanned the 20th century, he had a talent for capturing his era. Created by Charles Couty, the painter's son, next to the family home on Île Barbe, the museum offers visitors the chance to admire both known and unpublished works by the artist. Temporary and thematic exhibitions to discover.
