STONE CASTLE
This castle was built during the Renaissance, in the 16th century, to replace the castle of the Tour Bourdon.
Built during the Renaissance, in the 16th century, to replace the castle of the Tour Bourdon, this pleasure castle was on the road from Belleville to Beaujeu and very close to the river Ardières in the valley. There are still two towers and an imposing building that can be guessed in a park of 2 hectares surrounded by walls. Some elements are protected as historical monuments, such as the facades and roofs. It is said that it resisted victoriously to a siege of the terrible baron des Adrets who destroyed more than one in the region!
