THE VALLEY OF THE GODIVERT
This valley is crossed by a stream offering a natural habitat very welcoming for amphibians
Overlooking the Giers valley, this valley is crossed by a stream offering a natural habitat that is very welcoming for amphibians, which find ideal conditions of humidity and warmth. This Natural Zone of Ecological, Faunistic and Floristic Interest (ZNIEFF) is home to a great diversity of amphibians and reptiles, reinforced by the existence of artificial ponds. Together with the stream, the woodland and the wet meadows, these pools form a suitable environment for protected species such as the great crested newt.
