LE MOULIN DE SAINT-JACQUES
Charming house with garden and deckchairs in Saint-Jacques-des-Arrêts offering a breakfast with home-made bread.
Situated opposite the village of Saint-Mamert, a Cluniac site on the route to Santiago de Compostela, and close to the GR76, this charming residence is the ideal stopover between northern France and Provence, whether you're keen to hike, relax or discover the many historic monuments in the area. Completely renovated, the Moulin de Saint-Jacques opened its doors in May 2009. The building is a former water mill, dating in part from the 16th century. An underground river runs through it. Come and recharge your batteries with friends or family. You'll be charmed by the calm, the greenery and the beauty of the landscape. The garden extends over an enclosed hectare, and you can relax in a deckchair in the shade of the cherry tree, or take a nap in a hammock set between two birch trees. Those with a sweet tooth can pick blackberries on the edge of the tennis court, while children can play in peace and safety, as cars are parked in an enclosed area. At the end of the day, foosball fans can indulge in a game of table soccer, while others can enjoy the living room and its fireplace. Breakfast is served on the large farm table, with homemade jams and honey, and a variety of homemade breads.
