Chapel built on an ancient pagan place of worship following the death in 722 of Saint Bonnet, bishop of Lyon.
This chapel was built on a former pagan place of worship following the death in 722 of Saint Bonnet, bishop of Lyon. Many small sanctuaries were built after the death of the saint in order to establish Christianity. In the 12th century, in this place located near the Aquitaine Way, there was a hospice dependent on the Commandery of Chazelles. Justice was administered here until 1793. A place of pilgrimage until about 1950, young children who had difficulty walking were brought to the chapel.
