Walking around the village of Oingt is pleasant in many ways. The village is situated in the heart of the Beaujolais des Pierres Dorées and can boast of being labelled one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in France". The circular 13th century keep is a real eye-catcher and one is lucky enough to be able to visit it. It has five floors. From the top of the tower, you can enjoy a superb 360° panorama of the mountains of Lyon and Beaujolais. In good weather, you can also see the Jura and the Alpine massif in the distance. An experience not to be missed.
