The most important mine in Europe, offering a guided tour through underground galleries and mine workings.

No coal in this mine, but iron and copper pyrites, the source of Lyon's chemical industry. The mine was one of the largest in Europe, but was forced to close in 1972. A symbol of an activity that shaped the country, the museum, located on the former mining site and created on the initiative of former miners, plunges you into the bowels of the Earth during a guided tour of the underground galleries, mine workings, extraction site and machine room.
