DOMAINE DES FONTEROUILLES
In the charming little village of Sainte-Paule, Jan-Roland and Marie Pradel benefit from a know-how passed on for 4 generations. They welcome individuals and groups in their vat room accessible to coaches in the centre of the village. The 7 hectares of vineyards on the sunny hillsides are entirely devoted to red and rosé Beaujolais with a fruity fragrance and full of aromas, revealing the taste of the terroir from which they were born (Beaujolais Nouveau, red cuvées "Tradition" and "Fût de chêne"). The Beaujolais Nouveau has a beautiful purplish red colour, a slightly floral nose, aromas of red fruits (raspberry and redcurrant), leaves a pleasantly harmonious impression on the finish. It will be the ideal partner for a starter composed of Lyon charcuteries. On the last weekend in November, the Pradel family organises open days to celebrate the release of Beaujolais Nouveau with sausage, graton, dried fruit and home-made tarts. Among the novelties, the planting of the white grape variety Viognier to produce a new cuvée is to be welcomed. The work of the Pradel family can be wisely appreciated thanks to the very affordable bed and breakfast. After dinner, you will continue to appreciate the sweetness of Beaujolais with a walk with the donkeys.
