The priory was founded in 999 under the authority of Odilon, abbot of Cluny. Transformed by the Laurencins, prior and lords of the village of Taluyers in the 15th century, it was then auctioned off as a national asset during the French Revolution, divided and mutilated into five dwellings. After years and years of restoration by architect Alain Chastel, the priory is now open for private events - receptions, weddings... - in the heart of the Monts du Lyonnais.
