THE CHURCH OF SAINTE-MADELEINE
Church located in the heart of the city of Tarare, whose facade of columns recalls the Greek architecture.
Located in the heart of the city, the building was constructed between 1825 and 1827, and completed by a second architect in 1856. The facade of columns is reminiscent of Greek architecture and its interior contains confessionals of great beauty. Sculptures by Bonnassieux, including a great masterpiece: the "Mater Dolorosa" or "Pietà", which the great French painter Ingres himself came to admire. A real living museum for the faithful and visitors. Organ by Cavaillé-Coll.
