THE GREVILLY CHAPEL
The oldest chapel of the three and the oldest religious vestige of the Tararois which is located in Tarare.
When leaving Tarare, take the direction of Saint-Forgeux, the chapel is on the left. It is the oldest of the three chapels - and the oldest religious vestige of the Tararois -, built between the 14th and 16th centuries and a place of pilgrimage and devotion to the Virgin mentioned in the 14th century. Its environment alone is worth the trip: high up, surrounded by meadows and forests, with a succession of hills and valleys. Open every day for visits (from 9am to 5pm), the chapel has kept its Romanesque choir decorated with medieval paintings.
