LES CAFÉS DE L'OR VERT
At the end of the city, the old coffee roasting workshop and museum teach you everything about this green grain. It floats into the air a smell of fresh coffee. Let's start with the museum. Manuels and electric coffee mills, checkweigher, roasting machines, coffee makers of yesterday bring you to discover the roasting part. A wood-fed 1935 machine and charcoal in the room, surrounded by jute bags full of green coffee. Brazil, Costa Rica, Salvador Ethiopia, Rwanda, Papua New Guinea… Small producers'grains are waiting to be roasted for fresh sales. Explanation to support, you follow the evolution of the plant of its seed at the first flowering and gathering. Arabica grows in mountain, robusta in the plain, from where different tastes. You can watch the roast, Thursday and Saturday at 10 pm, drink a coffee by eating a croissant, buy… coffee, tea, chocolate, vanilla. Or go back with a green coffee that burns fat. The hotel is perfect for your stay.
