VANNERIE D'ANTAN ET PLUS
In the Sivatte family, basketry is a tradition that is passed from father to son. This family business that has existed since 1980 creates objects, bamboo rattan, apple liana, mibi, black liana and Madras. Over the years, the house specialised in the production of clothes for ladies and dolls, but also in decoration. While their basketry sounds more modern, they have nevertheless preserved the spirit of tradition of yesteryear: They thus continue to manufacture old items like carpets woven with banana leaves for children or even flat baskets called "Caribbean baskets" for the harvest of fruits and vegetables or the transport of charcoal.
